Hillary Clinton tries her hand at hyperbole:

“I say a lot of things—millions of words a day—so if I misspoke, that was just a misstatement,” Clinton said.

Millions of words would explain why her stump speech lasted forever. Meanwhile, I am trying to resist interpreting as symbolic the fact that Clinton exaggerates in order to excuse her own exaggeration, but it is a difficult struggle.
