Jesus weeps for Y2K!

This one’s good for the plaintive question that covers Christ’s right shoulder: “Why did Jesus have to die?” the magazine asks us—or, not us, but rather various and sundry experts. “Because Mel Gibson is a sadist!” I want to shout back.

For Time, anyway, it appears that brown is Jesus’ color palette of choice.
