Tonight we travel. First, we go south because tomorrow, mom is getting married. Then we drive east to rejoin our originally-scheduled holiday plans. I am taking no computer. Moreover, although I’ll be back home before the new year (so don’t hesitate to call, Laura, when you get in, and we hope to seeing you NYE), I will not write here again until after.

So I wish you all a very happy Christmas, with family—whether the one you originally came with or the makeshift one you’ve built since. Laugh a lot. Wish someone else a blessed season. Drink lots of ‘nog for no good reason. Happy Christmas to you, and Happy New Year, too.
