Seeing these five photographs together (the portraits are also good), I wonder where symmetry end and replication begin?

Ahh, those spacious American shopping aisles!

There is a lot of room to wander, isn’t there? All that space to make it so we don’t have to touch each other. I’ve sometimes wondered why we fetishize the market as much as we do then turn around and make spaces that aren’t markets at all.
