Merry Christmas… or something. Tonight, all during Midnight Mass at my mother-in-law’s church outside of Rochester, NY, all I could think of was that scene in “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” where the waiter recites the Lord’s Prayer but replaced all the words with “nada.” However, it was the first time this year that I enjoyed Christmas music, so there’s that.
I do hope you all are snug with your families, whether those you came with or those you built.
P.S. It’s the first time I’ve seen it in more than a year, so I was surprised to see FOX News glorifying Rick Warren today. Did Saddleback buy the network while I wasn’t looking?
No idea on the Saddleback thing. I did not go to church here (in IL), as the few times I did go when I lived here no one ever spoke to me. My mom said it was nice, though. Also, stay tuned for details on a home baptism using a punch bowl scheduled for the 30th.
